In the province of Teramo between Colonnella and Controguerra, in a fifty-year-old vineyard with canopy style training, at 290 meters asl and magnificently exposed to south-south / east, the DOCG of the Turan Line of the Torri Cantine is born.
Produced with 100% pure Montepulciano d’Abruzzo grapes, from a strict hand-harvested at the end of October. The wine ferments in thermo-conditioned steel tanks, malolactic fermentation follows, and subsequent aging for 6 months in the cement tanks.
It ages for at least 24 months in large barrels, before starting a further 6 months of refinement in the bottle in the total absence of oxygen.

Excellent wines are always welcomed. You can taste it both alone and in good company, best if combined with structured and tasty dishes. Appropriate also with aperitifs, starters, red meats, vegetarian dishes, and semi to long-seasoned cheeses.
Let’s imagine an Italian first course, lasagna Bolognese, roast lamb, eggplant parmigiana, also fragrant cheeses like gorgonzola or a pecorino.
We would match it with a first course: rigatoni with pumpkin and porcini mushrooms.
The vine has found wide diffusion in Abruzzo and along the Adriatic coast. The variety is fairly homogeneous, the differential characters concern the shape of the bunch, the presence of green millerandage before maturation, the ripening time, and the organoleptic characteristics of the product.
It gives an intense ruby red colored wine, with a characteristic, vinous scent, dry, fruity, tannic, not acidic, of good body structure, velvety, rightly alcoholic.
