Bakán
Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo

DOC Organic

It originates from one of the most suitable areas of Abruzzo for growing wine, from an old vineyard trained with the Tendon-system, at an ideal altitude to ensure a formidable thermal excursion and with a magnificent exposure.

A white vinification carried out exclusively in thermo-conditioned steel vats, and after the necessary rest on the skins, follows a maturation of 3 months, in cement vats, before bottling in the total absence of oxygen.

Bakán
Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo DOC

The Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo DOC grows between the mountains and the sea, in Controguerra, in the province of Teramo, in an evocative thirty-year-old row of vines at an altitude of 290 meters above sea level and magnificently exposed to the south-south-east.

It derives from 100% Montepulciano d’Abruzzo grapes vinified in rosé. The bunches are selected by hand during an early October harvest, from certified organic farming.

The winemaking process occurs in thermo-conditioned steel tanks and, after a sufficient period on the skins, it ages in cement vats for at least 4 months before being bottled in the total absence of oxygen.

How to match
Bakán Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo DOC

Rosé wine generally has the extraordinary characteristic of being able to be paired with almost any food and can certainly be sipped under any circumstances. Served chilled, at 8°-10° maximum, with aperitifs, hors d’oeuvres, seafood, vegetarian dishes, white and red meats, fresh or medium-aged cheeses.

We picture it with pennette with salmon, or cacio e pepe pasta, barley soup with courgettes, chicken with cashews, or a delicious burrata with Abruzzo Beefsteak tomatoes and Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

Grape variety characteristics

The vine has found wide diffusion in Abruzzo and along the Adriatic coast. The variety is fairly homogeneous, the differential characters concern the shape of the bunch, the presence of green millerandage before maturation, the ripening time, and the organoleptic characteristics of the product.

It gives an intense ruby red colored wine, with a characteristic, vinous scent, dry, fruity, tannic, not acidic, of good body structure, velvety, rightly alcoholic.
